Psychosexual Therapy or Sex Therapy is there to support people with sexual challenges or difficulties and need to speak to a specialist who understands both the body functioning and the emotional and therapeutic side of their issues.
Psychosexual Therapy can help with issues such as:
- Loss of desire
- Loss of sexual connection within a relationship
- Challenges with orgasm
- Unreliable erections or erectile dysfunction
- Premature ejaculation
- Pain during/after penetration
- Vaginismus
- Anxiety and emotional distress around sex and sexuality
- Body Image issues
- Challenges to sex due to illness
- Navigating life stages e.g. Menopause, parenting
- Considering a new relationship structure, e.g. Polyamory
- Exploring Sexuality
Sex Therapy follows a programme of tasks which invite people to reconnect with sensation and mindfulness. We will use psychoeducation around sexual issues to enable you to gain a better understanding of yourself and your partner (if you are coming together).
- Sessions are usually 50 mins weekly
- I see clients online or in person
- Sex therapy is usually short-term therapy
- Standard fees are £90 for individuals and £120 for couples/relationship clients.
- My practice is GSRD inclusive
I am in the final year of a Master’s degree in Contemporary Psychosexual Therapy, validated by The University of Hull.
Whilst I undertake this training to further my skills, I am offering some concessions for psychosexual therapy clients; please enquire.
